Are you ready to inhabit your body from the inside out?  Are you ready to listen to your internal cues for what nourishes you?  Have you had enough of scales, diets and external sources of control? Join us for this 5-week Yoga and Mindfulness webinar series to explore how to:

  • Cultivate stability and strength in body, mind and heart
  • Inhabit and appreciate the body you have with breath-centered yoga postures, breathing techniques, guided relaxation and short meditations
  • Manage stress to reduce sabotage of your intentions around your well-being
  • Improve awareness around hunger, satiety, thoughts and emotions and their role in relationship to eating and self-care
  • Explore ways to access your own deep inner wisdom and intuition for eating and well-being

This is a welcoming environment open to anyone interested in improving their relationship with food, eating, and body image through mind-body practices.  It is not gym-style yoga.  It’s tailored to help you start where you are and progress from there in learning ancient tools for your well-being.  The movement is gentle-on-the-joints and adapted for your individual needs.  There are no ‘shoulds’ or ‘don’ts’.  All intentions developed are self-directed and your choice based on your reflections and explorations.

What You Receive Each Week:  short introductory lecture and guided yoga practice, reflection worksheets, practice handouts and access to the webinar recordings that you can go back to if you can’t attend at the scheduled time or to use video support for the practices.

What You Need for a Webinar Series:  Computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone with reliable high-speed internet service (DSL or cable-equivalent speed) placed in a strategic location for seeing the screen as you practice.  You log into the classroom with a weekly link and turn on your speaker.  Your participation can be kept private by using a nickname as you log on.  Your computer camera is turned off.

Approved for Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers registered with Yoga Alliance.

Accessible and practical Yoga Therapy methods are woven into Mary’s DNA.  One of her greatest joys is teaching accessible, sustainable and healing yoga to students, aspiring yoga teachers and experienced yoga teachers who are interested in learning more.

Mary Hilliker

Mary’s intention is to meet you where you are and to help you move and change from that starting point. Her workshops and retreats highlight yoga tools and practices that help you gain self-sufficiency and independence in your home practice.

Mary has been a yoga practitioner for 25 years and a teacher for 17 years. She holds certifications as a 200 hr. level Hatha yoga teacher, 500 hr. Viniyoga teacher, and Viniyoga Therapist.  She is a Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists and is Curriculum Coordinator and Faculty with the American Viniyoga Institute’s Yoga Therapist Training.  Locally, Mary coordinates and is the lead teacher for the 200 hr. River Flow Yoga Teacher Training.

Her 30 year career as a registered dietitian/nutritionist and health educator in public health, nutrition, and chronic disease prevention, inform her yoga teaching and individualized Yoga Therapy.
