Wednesday, March 5th - March 26th | 12- 1 PM

Come see what all the buzz is about! Pilates with props will get you heart rate up and your muscles burning.

Experience a fun twist on traditional Mat Pilates. This class will be taught with Props such as blocks, light weights, and ankle bands. By isolating or engaging specific muscles, props can foster “a-ha” moments even during the most familiar exercises.
Class begins with big movements using weights working on legs and arms. Then, moves to small movements isolating muscles using ankle bands and very light weights we can mimic the Pilates Reformer. With a better sense of body awareness, a stronger core and better balance, Pilates can be a preventative for injury. Pilates can be a total body fitness, sculpting & toning workout, and group classes are designed this way.

What are some of the benefits you’ll experience from class?

  • Improved muscle tone
  • Increased strength and stamina
  • Better posture, flexibility and balance
  • Increased core strength (diaphragm, abdominal and back muscles, pelvic floor)
  • Eases common aches & pains and rehabs injury

Who should attend? Everyone welcome – all fitness levels!

Pilates is beneficial for any age or fitness level. Pilates tends to be performed either with bare feet or recommend participants to wear socks with a sole grip. This is to avoid injuries due to slipping while in between moves or while holding a position. Sequences will include standing and laying transitions. We will be getting up and down onto the mat throughout the class.
