Do daily activities leave you feeling tight, sore, and unmotivated?

Have you wondered how to add more self-care into your routine?

Would you like to feel more freedom in your body?

This practice will target the fascia. What is fascia?

Fascia is the connective tissue of the body that weaves around and within every critical system, transporting information, sensations, memories, and trauma.
When the fascial system is free and mobile, we feel abundant and energized, and when we feel better, we have more love to share.

During this self-care practice you will:

  • Open pathways for communication and love
  • Learn how to ease tension and stress after a long day
  • Understand the time component essential to myofascial release
  • Use blankets, blocks, and balls to compress/massage areas of tightness
  • Hold surrender-based yoga poses for an extended period
  • Feel deeply into the body

Who should attend?

Everyone Welcome to Attend! Please note, you will be getting up and off the floor through out the event.

FACILITATOR
Katie Ruiz

Hello, my name is Katie Ruiz and my wellness journey began with Yoga. Looking back on my very first yoga class, the word that comes to mind is empowered. I felt empowered to feel my own strength, my resiliency, and my ability to self-heal. My purpose is to inspire others to feel these same qualities, to empower others to participate in their own wellness, and to explore and teach self-care.

The benefits I found in yoga inspired me to further pursue wellness as a career, and so I completed massage therapy training with Massage & Spa Professional Academy in 2011. From there, I have continued my education to specialize in Ashiatsu, Myofascial Release, and Vibrational Sound Therapy.

Presently, my goal is to inspire others to take action in their own wellness journey. A focus on the healing benefits of sound & vibration, the ease with slow flow yoga, and the turning inward with yin yoga helps me let go of sensations and emotions that do not support me and helps me feel refreshed. And that is what I hope to share with you! Let’s practice the art of letting go.
