Let ASAHI® Move You!  A Simple And Healthy Idea – simple wellness movement from Finland

Come to the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum sculpture garden and learn easily accessible, flowing exercises that anyone can do with no previous experience. ASAHI is based in modern medical science and is accessible for people of all ages and in all states of health.

The simple practice is done standing the whole time so there is no need for a yoga mat. It can be done in shoes or barefoot in the grass.

Please dress in comfortable clothing, bring whatever sun protection you need, and a water bottle.

ASAHI affects the body like a lymph massage, so it is important to stay hydrated.

The aesthetic beauty of ASAHI will fit beautifully with the statues in the park. Join us!

The practice will be led by Margaret Vainio, a lead teacher of Asahi Nordic, a Finnish mind-body health practice. She is an Asahi Nordic head trainer and instructor, involved in teaching, promoting, and developing the practice. Vainio is also involved with the Asahi Nordic Institute in Finland.  She conducts Asahi Nordic training sessions and demonstrations, both in Finland and internationally.  Locally, she will be supported by Asahi and yoga  teacher, Sherry Oakes.
