“Practicing yoga has helped me to focus on taking time out for myself to find my inner calm, minimize stress and aid in overcoming chronic headache pain.  By continuing to practice, study and teach yoga, I hope to encourage, guide and inspire others to experience the physical and emotional benefits of yoga.”

By offering beginner level yoga classes, Renee’s intentions are to reduce anxiety and uncertainty of individuals who are interested in learning about and practicing yoga.  Renee hopes to encourage, guide and inspire others to find their inner calm and become more mindful and physically and mentally recharged.

Many first time students report feeling anxious or unsure of attending a yoga class because they don’t know the poses or don’t know what to expect.  Renee empowers beginner students by providing clear instruction through demonstration and verbal cues as they progress through the practice.  As a yoga instructor, Renee will assist students in starting where they are at, guide them through the process of learning to listen to their bodies and practice connecting the breath with their movements.

Prenatal yoga is a unique opportunity for pregnant women to safely stretch and strengthen their bodies and to prepare physically and emotionally for labor and delivery. Teaching and guiding pregnant women through breath practices, breath-centered movement and relaxation, pregnant women become more mindful and aware of how to better care for themselves and their baby.img_2402-copy

Yoga Bonding-Moms & Babies Postnatal Yoga integrates babies into their moms/caregivers yoga practice.  Babies are introduced to yoga via movement, sound, massage and bonding.  Moms move through a specially designed yoga practice to re-stabilize hips and low back, gently and safely strengthen the core, and relieve upper back, neck and shoulder tension. This class is a great way to find encouragement and support as you meet other moms and babies close in age and development while doing something rewarding for yourself.

Renee enjoys yoga, gardening, spending time among nature, reading, snowshoeing, walking and meeting friends for coffee/tea.

What they say...

“I delivered my baby without any assistance with pain relief, and found myself resorting to the humming chant we’d do in class to get me through those tough contractions. The chanting works!” – L
