“Yoga invites us to live with awareness and intention.  It supports us in creating and accepting change in ourselves, our relationships and our community.  I am humbled and honored to be a student and teacher of yoga – sharing yoga tools that are accessible and customized to every individual, no matter their journey.”

Viniyoga teacher and scholar Gary Kraftsow says, “In order to get anywhere, we must begin from where we are. Self awareness is the key to any process of self transformation.”

Heather’s intention is to provide a welcoming space for you to begin from ‘where you are’ and support you in your journey by sharing yoga tools for use on and off the mat.

“By beginning class with intention and reconnecting to the breath, students are empowered to be active participants in stretching and strengthening the body, releasing tension and quieting the mind.  In the Viniyoga tradition, practices are adapted to the individual needs of the student. This supports students to honor their personal intentions every time they roll out their mat and more so as they mindfully live within their busy lives.”

Heather shares, “My love of the outdoors, my family and continuing my education impact my personal practice and my teaching.  Guiding students to reconnect to what inspires them, gives them a solid foundation for continued growth within their body, breath, mind, character and heart.”

With a touch of humor and creative sequencing, Heather looks forward to practicing with you.

“It is apparent Heather has a thirst for knowledge and is always bringing something new and different to the yoga classes she teaches. Her sequences are well thought out and she personalizes them with an element of fun! Heather provides caring reminders for adaptation to meet individual needs.” -R

“In our private sessions, Heather’s guidance, knowledge and willingness to problem solve has blessed me with improved comprehension of my body’s abilities and limitations. Heather addresses so much more than the postures and modifications.  Her words inspire my mind and my spirit and she gently reminds me that everything is a practice!” -C
