“ ‘Remember who you are.’
We all act to create, sustain, and bring to an end physical things, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and relationships. We forget that we are a manifestation of Awareness. And we remember. My journey is to remember in each moment.”
Jay finds resonance in ancient practices and studies that help us connect with that ground of being that helps us remember. He loves to study, practice and share chanting in a group setting, and meditation in a non-dual tradition
Jay is certified as a 200 hour Viniyoga Wellness Instructor from the River Flow Yoga Teacher Training School and the American Viniyoga Institute. He is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level with Yoga Alliance.
Jay has studied Sanskrit chant at the Vedic Chant Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with Sonia Nelson and Linda Spackman, where he continues to take regular lessons in yoga sutra and Vedic chant. Jay has also studied kirtan leadership with Mike Cohen.
Jay is an iRest Level 2 Teacher, having studied with Richard Miller and Stephanie Lopez. He is pursuing certification in iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation.
Jay has cultivated a lifelong interest in scripture, sacred music and chant that finds much resonance in the sounds and teachings of the Yoga Sutra, the Upanishads, and non-dualism.
