I’m Sarah Kemp and my yoga training is in Viniyoga, which allows a student to make the connection between movement and breath and is adaptable to all levels of yoga experience. I offer classes through 5 Koshas, working with students to explore their potential and feel the benefits of yoga.

“Gratitude plants the seed for abundance.” -Robin Kimmerer

I’m inspired by this quote from author and Citizen Potawatomi Nation member, Robin Kimmerer. I feel such gratitude toward my own yoga teachers, who planted a seed within me to become a better student, practitioner, and teacher.

When teaching, I listen carefully to my students and work to understand where they are starting from. This allows me to better incorporate movement and breath to help my students shift deeper into a particular posture. For example, one of my favorite poses is the Triangle pose. While it can be challenging, it can become uncomplicated with simple modifications.

Much like other activities that move me, like hiking, swimming, and gardening, I love that yoga can be a lifelong activity. And it can be practiced both on and off the mat. The benefits yoga can provide, both physically and emotionally, inspire me to teach and help others grow.
