“What I really enjoy about teaching yoga is giving others the tools to find out that they are much more capable, more alive, than they had thought.”
After retiring from careers in law enforcement and in teaching, I was looking for something to challenge me. Yoga was one of the last things on my mind for a challenge, until my wife insisted that I go with her to a class. It wasn’t so bad and I wasn’t the worst one in the room. I went back, again and again and again. Soon, I was taking a yoga mat along on vacations.
In 2015, after several years of practicing yoga, I completed 200 hour yoga teacher training so that I could teach…again. What I really enjoy about teaching is giving others the tools to find out that they are much more capable, more alive, than they had thought. I don’t care much about a person’s strength or flexibility. What I care about is a person’s willingness to discover what they can do to help themselves and help others in the process of becoming better, more caring human beings.
